BOOKS TO PRISONERS MONTREAL
is looking for donations of books and other reading materials to revitalize our library for the coming season

WE ARE LOOKING SPECIFICALLY FOR FRENCH AND ENGLISH BOOKS THAT FALL INTO:
-bestsellers (John Grisham, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, Tom Clancy)
-books geared at youth / young adults
-dictionaries (multilingual)
-indigenous issues / movements for self-determination
-self help and how-to books


DROP OFF POINTS AT:
-Cafe l'Utopik at 552 Ste Catherine East
-Le Cagibi / Esperanza at 5490 St Laurent
-Our library at QPIRG Concordia 1500 de Maisonneuve West Suite 204 (please note that QPIRG is only open monday through thursday from 1pm to 6pm)

BOOKS TO PRISONERS / OPEN DOOR BOOKS HAS BEEN PROVIDING BOOKS AND READING MATERIAL TO PRISONERS ACROSS THE US AND CANADA FOR THE PAST 12 YEARS. BOOKS TO PRISONERS OPERATES ON THE ASSERTION THAT BOOKS CAN BE A POTENTIALLY LIFE-CHANGING RESOURCE AND TOOL FOR SOCIAL CHANGE. WE BELIEVE THAT MOVEMENTS DEDICATED TO PRINCIPLES OF SOCIAL JUSTICE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO WORK IN SOLIDARITY WITH PRISONERS. WE OPERATE ON A REQUEST BASIS.
